The Protective Film Laminating Machine adds a temporary protective layer to finished flat panels before stacking, handling, or transport. The automatic configuration combines panel centering, film application, cutting, and roller discharge in one sequence, while the semi-automatic model uses separate loading and unloading conveyor sections. Selection depends on panel size, available floor space, and the level of automation required after finishing.
Automatic and Semi-Automatic Configurations
Two standard configurations support different production layouts:
- SL-TFM1300 automatic model integrates centering, laminating, cutting, and discharge within a 6850 mm overall length.
- SL-TFMM1300 semi-automatic model uses separate loading and unloading conveyor sections within a 3000 mm overall length.
- Both configurations support panels up to 1280 mm wide and 150 mm thick.
- Minimum processing length is 1500 mm for the automatic model and 600 mm for the semi-automatic model.
This difference lets the equipment layout follow the actual finishing and material-handling route instead of forcing one arrangement into every line.
Panel Centering Before Film Application
Consistent film placement starts before the film reaches the workpiece. The centering section aligns incoming panels so they enter the laminating area in a repeatable position. This is useful when the machine follows other automatic conveyor equipment and receives panels continuously from an upstream process.
A centered workpiece gives the laminating and cutting sections a stable reference and helps maintain a consistent relationship between panel edges and the applied film.
Film Application, Cutting, and Roller Discharge
The laminating section uses film unwinding, tension control, and pressure rollers to place the protective layer across the panel surface. After application, the cutting section separates the film between consecutive workpieces. The finished panel then exits through the stainless steel roller conveyor for downstream handling.
This sequence helps protect finished surfaces from direct contact during later stacking and movement while keeping lamination connected to the production flow.
Protective Film Laminating Machine Integration After Surface Finishing
The machine can be positioned after the surface finish is complete and before final stacking or transport. For wood-based panels, it can follow processes within a wood coating solution once the surface is ready for protection. Additional handling functions can be selected from the wider automatic conveyor range when the line requires more automation.
Final configuration should reflect panel dimensions, transfer direction, available space, and electrical requirements. Custom sizes may change the machine parameters, so the selected setup should follow the actual panel and line arrangement.
