Automatic Centering Conveyor

Model: SL-FCC

Automatic panel centering keeps flat workpieces aligned before they enter the next processing stage. Chrome-plated stainless steel rollers provide continuous transfer, while photoelectric detection and pneumatic centering rollers correct lateral deviation for smoother connection with coating and handling equipment.

Application Materials:

  • Fiber cement board, magnesium oxide board, calcium silicate board
  • Wood, MDF, particleboard, plywood, PVC, PET
  • Marble, metal panels, and other compatible flat materials

Application Scenarios:

  • Furniture panels, doors, flooring, and ceiling panels
  • Decorative boards, interior wall panels, and exterior wall panels

Automatic Panel Alignment for Coating Lines

SENLIAN’s centering conveyor corrects the lateral position of flat panels before they move into the next coating or handling stage. Photosensitive detection identifies an arriving workpiece, while AIRTAC cylinders drive centering rollers from both sides to bring the panel toward the line center. Chrome-plated stainless steel rollers support forward transfer, helping panels enter downstream equipment from a more consistent position.

Panel Alignment Based on Workpiece and Line Layout

A stable entry position matters when the following process depends on the panel reaching a defined center reference. Confirm these conditions before selecting a standard or customized configuration:

  • Maximum panel width and overall dimensions
  • Workpiece material and surface condition
  • Connection height with adjacent equipment
  • Required feeding direction
  • Production-line speed
  • Position of the next processing machine
  • Local voltage and frequency

These details help determine working width, machine dimensions, conveying arrangement, and electrical setup. SENLIAN offers standard models for maximum processing widths of 580 mm, 780 mm, and 1280 mm. Different dimensions can be configured when the production layout falls outside the standard range.

Roller Transfer for Flat Panel Positioning

The conveying section uses precision-machined, chrome-plated stainless steel rollers. Their metal surface helps limit paint adhesion, while the closely spaced arrangement supports flat workpieces as they move through the alignment station. Compatible materials include wood, MDF, particleboard, plywood, fiber cement board, magnesium oxide board, calcium silicate board, PVC, PET, marble, and metal panels.

Centering Conveyor Integration with Downstream Equipment

Automatic alignment can support processes where panel position affects how the next machine receives the workpiece. The unit may sit before a roller coating machine, before a laminating process, or between other connected coating stages. SENLIAN’s protective film laminating machine already uses centering before film application, showing how positioning can form part of a larger processing sequence.

Automatic Handling Beyond Panel Alignment

Centering is one step within a wider material-handling route. The automatic conveyor range also includes loading and unloading, turning, parallel transfer, lifting, and straight conveying equipment. These functions can be combined according to the actual production sequence rather than added as isolated machines.

Final configuration should follow the panel size, installation space, adjacent equipment, and electrical requirements. Working width, overall dimensions, conveying speed, and connection layout can then be coordinated with the rest of the line without adding functions that the process does not require.

Accessible Machine-Side Controls

Power indication, emergency stop, and operating controls are arranged directly on the machine side for convenient access during production. The clean enclosed body keeps wiring and internal components separated from the external operating area.

Chrome-Plated Roller Surface

Precision-machined, chrome-plated stainless steel rollers create a smooth transfer surface and help reduce paint adhesion. The closely arranged rollers provide continuous support as flat panels move through the centering section.

Integrated Automatic Handling

The centering section can operate as part of a connected material-handling system, allowing panels to move between transfer, positioning, loading, and downstream processing stages. Its layout supports integration with other automatic conveyor equipment when the production route requires multiple handling steps.

Standard Characteristics

Automatic Centering Function

Photoelectric detection identifies when a panel reaches the positioning section. The centering mechanism then moves the side guide rollers toward the workpiece, correcting lateral offset before the panel continues to the next process.

AIRTAC Air Cylinder

AIRTAC pneumatic cylinders provide the movement required for the centering mechanism beneath the roller bed. The cylinders extend and retract the positioning components during each centering cycle, while the air-treatment unit supports the pneumatic supply.

DELTA Frequency Converter

The DELTA MS300 frequency converter provides adjustable control of roller conveying speed, allowing the transfer section to coordinate with connected coating, drying, or automatic handling equipment.

UNIS Electric Motor

The UNIS electric motor provides drive power for the roller conveying section. Its compact installation fits within the machine frame and supports continuous workpiece transfer through the centering station.
