Double Roll Coating Machine

Model: SL-TRDA

The double roll coating machine combines the coating structures of both forward- and reverse-rotating rollers, evenly applying liquid coatings to flat substrates. Compared to fixed roller structures, it offers greater flexibility in adjusting coating thickness and flatness to meet various technical requirements.

Application Materials:

  • Fiber cement board, Magnesium oxide board, Calcium silicate board
  • Wood, Veneer, Glass, Metal, Plastic, PVC
  • Marble, Ceramics, Special material, etc.

Application Coatings:

  • UV, PU, PE, NC, AC, Water-based paint
  • Fluorocarbon paint, Glue, Special paint, etc.

Roll Coating Machine For Adjustable Film Thickness Control

A roll coating machine controls liquid coating transfer through the interaction between roller direction, surface contact, and coating gap. The double roller structure allows you to switch between forward and reverse rotation according to the required film thickness, helping achieve different coating effects without replacing the roller system.

SENLIAN double roll coating machine is developed for flat substrates including fiber cement board, magnesium oxide board, calcium silicate board, wood, veneer, glass, metal, plastic, PVC, marble, and ceramic. Compatible materials include UV, PU, PE, NC, AC, water-based coatings, fluorocarbon coatings, and adhesives.

By changing the roller movement mode, one coating unit can handle different finishing requirements across multiple production processes.

Adjust Coating Thickness Through Roller Interaction

The coating result is influenced by how the rollers transfer and regulate the material. Forward rotation creates a lighter coating application, while reverse rotation increases material transfer for thicker film requirements.

Instead of replacing the coating assembly between different processes, operators can adjust the roller working mode directly through the control system.

The coating section includes:

  • Two EPDM rubber rollers for controlled material transfer
  • Three chrome-plated stainless steel rollers for regulation and support
  • Mechanical gap adjustment for coating thickness control
  • Precision bearings for stable roller operation
  • Ball screw and worm gear reducer for accurate positioning

The visual adjustment structure allows the roller position to be monitored during setup, making the coating gap adjustment easier to control.

Keep Roller Movement Stable During Production

Consistent coating depends on stable roller positioning. The lifting structure combines a rigid dovetail guide with precision linear guides to maintain alignment when the roller assembly moves.

Independent drive units control different transmission sections instead of sharing one common drive path. Separate motor reducers provide dedicated power transmission, while overload protection and dust-resistant sealing support long-term operation in production environments.

Maintain Coating Circulation Without Material Loss

During roller coating, unused material returns through the internal circulation path instead of remaining on the machine or becoming overspray. The closed-loop coating system keeps the material moving between the supply section and application area.

The HMI touchscreen combines production settings, operating parameters, and machine status in one interface. Operators can adjust process conditions and review operating information without switching between different control points.

Connect Roller Coating With Continuous Finishing Lines

The roll coating machine can be placed between surface preparation and drying or curing sections according to the production route. For UV finishing applications, the machine can connect with a UV roller coating line to combine surface preparation, coating application, leveling, and curing into one continuous process.

Roller materials, rotation direction, conveyor layout, machine dimensions, and functional configuration can be arranged according to substrate characteristics and coating requirements.

3,500 ㎡+ Daily Output

As the preferred solution for flat surface coating, roll coating machines offer standard models with working speeds of 8-12 m/min. Based on an 8-hour workday, the daily output reaches 3500-5200 ㎡, providing indispensable support for large-scale production in modern enterprises. Custom models will have even higher production capacities.

Flexible Dual-Mode Coating

Without changing the structure of the roller group, a single touch on the touchscreen switches between “forward thin coating” and “reverse thick coating” by changing the roller direction. This is especially applicable when a roll coating machine must handle materials of varying specifications.

Environmental Friendly

The roll coating machine utilizes a closed-loop paint supply system, allowing the paint to be continuously recycled in liquid form. This eliminates problems such as paint mist, paint waste, and environmental pollution, making it both economical and eco-friendly, and aligning with the globally advocated concept of sustainable development.

Standard Characteristics

User-Friendly HMI

The roll coating machine is equipped with a Delta touchscreen, featuring a clear and user-friendly operating logic and supporting multiple languages. It enables intuitive setting of production parameters, real-time monitoring of equipment operation status, and precise feedback on fault alarm information, facilitating quick troubleshooting and lowering the barrier to equipment operation.

Precision Double Roller Structure

The roll coating machine is equipped with two EPDM rubber rollers and three chrome-plated stainless steel rollers. The double rollers are fixed at both ends with precision bearings, ensuring a roller surface runout of ≤0.008mm for uniform coating without roller marks. The gap between the rollers is adjusted using a ball screw and a worm gear reducer, equipped with a visual adjustment device.
