The excimer UV curing machine combines LED UV irradiation with 172 nm excimer light to transform a UV coating into a low-gloss, soft-touch surface. As the coated workpiece passes through the enclosed light sections, the arranged lamp modules act on flat areas as well as accessible edges and recessed details. You can use the process on wood, veneer, MDF, plywood, PVC, PET, glass, metal, marble, ceramics, and compatible coated panels.
Develop the Surface Through Coordinated UV Light
The finish comes from the interaction between the coating and the arranged UV light sources rather than from a conventional thermal drying stage. The system brings several functions into one continuous curing route:
- LED UV and 172 nm excimer lamps work within dedicated irradiation sections
- Excimer treatment reduces surface gloss and develops the ultra-matte appearance
- Adjustable lamp positions direct light toward flat faces, side edges, grooves, and shaped areas
- Independent lamp housings separate individual light sections
- Top-mounted cooling units remove heat from the lamp chambers during operation
The cured coating can achieve a soft-touch feel together with properties including 4H pencil hardness, scratch resistance, fingerprint resistance, and stain resistance when used with the corresponding excimer UV coating system.
Bring Edges and Detailed Surfaces Into the Curing Zone
Flat-panel finishing is only one part of the irradiation layout. Side-mounted and angled light positions can extend exposure toward edges and recessed areas that a single overhead source would not reach directly.
You can adjust the UV light arrangement around the workpiece geometry and coating route. This is especially useful when cabinet doors, furniture panels, or other components include handles, grooves, or edge surfaces that need the same matte appearance as the main face.
Keep Light Sections Accessible for Adjustment
Each lamp section uses an opening cabinet structure that provides access to the internal irradiation components. The reflective interior surrounds the light source, while the hinged housing allows individual sections to be opened for inspection or adjustment.
Cooling fans are positioned above the separate lamp chambers. Stainless-steel conveyor rollers carry the workpiece beneath the irradiation area while leaving the coating surface unobstructed.
Connect Excimer Finishing With the Complete Coating Route
You can place the curing section after roller or spray application of a compatible excimer UV coating. For a complete finishing process, it can form the curing stage within a soft-touch excimer UV coating line, where coating application and UV treatment operate as one continuous route.
