But many customers don’t know much about the configuration of UV solidifiers, and wonder why mercury-powered UV solidifiers are available here and gallium-powered UV solidifiers are available there. Where is the difference between mercury lamp and gallium lamp UV light fixer?
First of all, we have to start with the essential principle of UV photofixing machine, UV paint curing needs UV light source, not heat source, spectrum transmission is electromagnetic wave, and UV paint is produced by optical reactions rather than chemical or physical reactions, so the reaction produced by different spectra is different.
UV paint is also a kind of ordinary transparent UV paint, the use of ordinary UV mercury lamp source, that is, we call it the UV lamp source for irradiation drying, this is enough. However, for solid-colored UV paint, due to the different composition, using ordinary mercury element UV lamp source, can only achieve solid-colored UV paint surface drying effect, if in the half-lamp state, the paint surface will feel wet. If gallium lamp source, can achieve good penetration, although the naked eye is invisible, but in fact the solid color UV paint has reached the surface dry effect, which is necessary for the need for full-curing rolling production line process.
In addition, although the structure of UV photofixer seems simple, but mercury lamp and gallium lamp can not be replaced, some customers in order to reduce the cost, considering the purchase of gallium lamp, want to replace the lower cost of mercury lamp, in fact, is not feasible, because not only is the lamp, the equipment is not the same internal circuit and electrical appliances are suitable. Therefore, it is not universal, in the case of coating process is determined, it should be accurate to choose the type of UV curing machine, and gallium lamp UV curing opportunity than ordinary mercury lamp UV curing machine cost much higher, so we need to understand why the price will be different, otherwise it can not achieve the desired drying and curing effect.
