Reciprocating Spray Painting Machine - Gun Disassembly & Cleaning Procedure

Ⅰ. Preparations

1.Safety & Tools

♢Prepare tools reciprocating spray painting machine

• Adjustable wrench
• M3/M4 hex keys
• Dedicated hex key (for needle stop cap)
• Socket wrench
• Petroleum jelly

2.Machine Setup

♢Turn atomizing air pressure to ZERO at the reciprocating spray painting machine's spray booth control panel.

♢Disconnect fluid/air lines using an adjustable wrench.

♢Loosen gun-mounting screw with hex key; detach gun from the reciprocating spray painting machine frame.

Ⅱ. Disassembly Process

1.Gun Breakdown

♢Remove 4 base screws (retain all washers).

♢Clean paint/debris from the reciprocating spray painting machine gun base.

♢Detach gun cap (preserve nozzle and washers).

♢Unscrew tail knob; extract both springs.

2.Needle Stop Cap Removal

♢Attempt screw removal with dedicated hex key:

• If screw resists(hardened threadlocker):
  Apply heat gun to screw’s reverse side
  For reciprocating spray painting machine: NEVER force – risks stripped threads.

3.Critical Component Extraction

♢Piston removal:

• Apply low-pressure air to center hole while supporting gun tail
• Gently catch ejected piston

♢Troubleshooting reciprocating spray painting machine issues:

• Verify tightness of two M3 body screws
• Remove nozzle (inspect O-ring); clean blockages in thinner

♢Extract needle with socket wrench → Clean in thinner

Ⅲ. Cleaning & Inspection

1.Component Treatment

♢Polish needle and mating surfaces → Zero burrs/damage(critical for reciprocating spray painting machine performance)

♢Lubricate needle shaft with petroleum jelly (ensures smooth motion – critical for shut-off)

♢Flush reciprocating spray painting machine gun body interior with thinner; dry completely

2.Key Checks

✅ Nozzle orifice: No cracks/obstructions
✅ Base/gun connection holes: Cleaned and orientation-marked
✅ All seals/washers: Intact (replace if swollen/cut)
